Jorge Pérez, Projects and IP Services Manager, Megacable
Jorge Pérez has overseen Megacable’s Provisioning System since 2012. He specializes in engineering and integration of applications to increase Added Value Services at HFC and FTTH Network. A telco engineer with 15+ years of experience, Jorge holds vast knowledge with the company’s network and services. He’s been involved with Megacable’s transition and evolution of technologies; for example, NGN Soft Switch to IMS QAM video to IPTV and currently IPv6.
Dave Dobbin, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technology, Hargray
Dave Dobbin currently serves as SVP of Engineering and Technology at Hargray. Prior to this, Dave was the Managing Director of The Halton Partners, and before that held the role of President and CEO at Mobilicity, as well as President of Toronto Hydro Telecom Inc. (THTI). From 2001 to 2005, Dave served as the COO of Telecom Ottawa, and previously worked at Hydro One Telecom/SCBN and BDO Watson & Associates.
In 2006, Dave was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, an honor that recognizes Canadians who have reached a significant level of success before the age of 40.
Pete Koat, Chief Technology Officer, Incognito
Pete is responsible for defining the strategic agenda for the Incognito product line, including developing product roadmaps based on market trends, identifying functional requirements with customers, and contributing to relevant industry standards. Prior to his role at Incognito Software, Pete co-founded Libré Communications, best known for its encloudHD platform, which was designed for companies that use live video streaming to broadcast content over the Internet. After that, he served as co-founder of Skitter.TV, an end-to-end video platform for encoding, managing, streaming, and viewing converged Internet television, video on demand, as well as live broadcast and satellite TV. Pete has also held CTO roles for firms deploying IPTV solutions in emerging markets.
Pete holds multiple patents related to IP video compression, delivery, and streaming.
David Sharpley, Chief Executive Officer, Incognito
As CEO, David is responsible for all functional aspects of Incognito Software including sales, professional services, product development, marketing and customer support. David is a seasoned telecommunications software industry executive and joins Incognito from Amdocs Limited where he most recently held the position of Vice-President and General Manager, leading the Network Products Business Unit. Sharpley’s prior career included senior positions with Bridgewater Systems (acquired by Amdocs in 2011) as well as Nortel, Metasolv, and Oracle, among others.
Jeff Finkelstein, Executive Director of Advanced Technology, Cox
Jeff Finkelstein is the Executive Director of Advanced Technology at Cox Communications in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been a key member of the engineering organization at Cox since 2002 and led the team responsible for the deployment of DOCSIS technologies, from DOCSIS 1.0 to DOCSIS 3.0. He was the initial innovator of advanced technologies including Pro-Active Network Maintenance, Active Queue Management and DOCSIS 3.1. His current responsibilities include defining the future cable network vision at Cox.
Jeff has over 47 patents issued or pending. His hobbies include Irish Traditional Music and stand-up comedy.
Jerica Goh, Senior Manager, StarHub
Jerica is a senior Service Delivery manager at StarHub where she oversees most of the key application functions within the IT department. Jerica manages an inhouse team, enabling more than 50 applications to meet business needs. She has 20 years of Telco experience with extensive knowledge in the range of products and services offered by StarHub. Jerica is a passionate person fueled with curiosity and dissatisfaction with the status quo.
Raphic Roberts, Head of IT Applications Operations, Digicel
Raphic Roberts joined Digicel in January 2001 in the role of Computer Systems Engineer. Digicel is the second largest Telecommunications provider in Jamaica, a new entrant to the market that has since revolutionized and changed the landscape for the 32 markets in which it now operates. Raphic grew with Digicel to lead several IT teams and is now Head of IT Applications Operations, which supports the newly created service, Fiber to the Home (FTTH), as well as other BSS/OSS systems that provide several services for its internal and external customers. Raphic will take you on a journey of how Digicel Implemented FTTH with support from key partners like Incognito.
